A man has been arrested in California following a shooting that critically injured one person and led to a lockdown of a Las Vegas Strip casino-hotel for several hours, according to authorities.

Police say 19-year-old Christian Miller was taken into custody before dawn Monday in a vehicle on Interstate 15 about 95 miles from Las Vegas. The shooting happened at about 11 p.m. Sunday near the Flamingo resort.

Police say a person was hospitalized in stable but critical condition. Their name wasn’t made public.

The Las Vegas Review-Journal reports the Flamingo was locked down and people were prevented from using elevators and stairs while police investigated whether a suspect fled into the hotel.

The California Highway Patrol says Miller was a passenger in a vehicle driven by David Preston who also was arrested and held pending extradition to Las Vegas.
