An investigation is underway after a couple was robbed at gunpoint in Calabasas late Saturday night authorities said.

The incident was reported just after midnight near Old Town Calabasas as the couple was walking back to their car on the 22500 block of Calabasas Road, according to police.

It was then that the couple was approached by two armed men and robbed of what is believed to be jewelry and watches, according to Sgt. Azodi of the Los Angeles Police Department’s Topanga Community Police Station.

The suspect or suspects took off in a dark-colored SUV.

Video footage from the scene showed a man, who appeared to be the victim, visibly bloody from his injuries and sitting on a stretcher just before he was taken into an ambulance and transported to the hospital.

Brian Humphrey of the Los Angeles Fire Department did not provide the man’s condition, but said the hospital where the man was taken was not a trauma center.

LAPD is investigating the incident and is seeking any witnesses who may have more information.
