Two people died in a collision involving two vehicles in Wilmington Thursday night, officials said.
The crash occurred around 8:15 p.m. at the intersection of Avalon and Lomita boulevards.
By the time Los Angeles fire crews arrived, a vehicle that had been on fire was extinguished, but one person was dead.
The LAFD worked to extricate another passenger, but that person had also died from their injuries.
Footage shared to the Citizen app shows flames coming from a vehicle before numerous firefighters and police officers arrive on the scene.
The cause of the crash was under investigation.
