Power was restored to all but 12 Southern California Edison customers Saturday following a report of a vault explosion, officials said.

Crews initially received a call at about 9 a.m. regarding an explosion that had occurred in a vault in the 1000 block of Chapman Avenue (map), according to the Fullerton Fire Department.

When firefighters arrived on scene, they discovered a small fire in a vault and were able to contain it, authorities said.

There were no reports of any injuries.

By 12:10 p.m., Southern California Edison crews had restored power to almost all of about 1,900 affected customers, the company said on Twitter.

Officials did not give an estimate as to how long the remaining 12 customers would be impacted.

No further information was available.
