A convicted serial killer, already condemned to death in the murders of 10 women and an unborn child, was sentenced Friday to die in four additional slayings.
Chester Dewayne Turner was found guilty in June of four counts of first-degree murder in the deaths of Elandra Bunn, 33, who was found dead on June 5, 1987; Deborah Williams, 28, on Nov. 16, 1992; Mary Edwards, 42, on Dec. 16, 1992; and Cynthia Annette Johnson, 30, on Feb. 22, 1997.
Like Turners previous 10 victims, the four women in the current case were found strangled to death in South Los Angeles over a 10 year period between 1987 and 1997, according to a news release from the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office.
The former pizza delivery man was sent to death row in 2007 for a string of murders that stretched from 1987 to 1998.
