The incident occurred shortly after 4 a.m. near the intersection of Century Boulevard and Hawthorne Avenue, the Inglewood Police Department said. The unidentified victim died at the scene, located outside the 24-hour fast-food restaurant.

About 2 miles away, at the intersection of Imperial Highway and Doty Avenue (map), two passengers exited a vehicle suspected of being involved in the shooting, said police Lt. Neal Cochran. The third occupant of the vehicle then drove away, Cochran said.
