Police were searching Sunday for the person who fatally stabbed a 35-year-old woman inside a Motel 6 room in Pomona, authorities said.

Officers responded to a disturbance call at the Motel 6 located at 2470 S. Garey Ave. (map) at 8:40 p.m. Saturday and found the victim suffering from apparent stab wounds, the Pomona Police Department stated in a news release.

She was pronounced dead at the scene a short time later by Los Angeles County Fire Department paramedics.

The victim’s identity has not been released.

No arrests have been made in connection with the deadly stabbing.
