Police began an investigation into a suspected homicide in Pomona late Wednesday night, according to authorities.
In a news release, Pomona police said officers responded at 11:54 p.m. to reports of a man down in an alley on the 900 block of East Holt Avenue.
The man was transported to a local hospital where he was later pronounced dead.
Police opened a murder investigation and said the motive remains unknown. Additional details, including any suspect info and the method in which the alleged killing was committed, were not immediately available.
