Officers chased a suspect in a stolen vehicle through Los Angeles and Orange counties before the pursuit ended in a crash Friday night.
At around 9 p.m., the stolen truck was first seen speeding on the 605 Freeway as California Highway Patrol officers followed closely behind. The driver eventually exited in the Long Beach area and began traveling on surface streets.
The driver reentered the northbound 605 Freeway, hitting speeds of up to 90 miles per hour and swerving dangerously between lanes at times.
They transitioned to the southbound 5 Freeway and passed the Disneyland area before heading towards Irvine in Orange County.
After over an hour in pursuit, the truck eventually crashed and rolled over near the Portola Parkway exit in Irvine. The driver was trapped inside the vehicle and required extrication before they were taken into custody.
Footage of the pursuit can be seen in the video player above.
