Officials urged residents in a Sierra Madre neighborhood to be cautious after a mountain lion was spotted Thursday morning.
The big cat was seen in the area of North Baldwin Avenue between East Carter Avenue and East Mira Monte Avenue, according to an advisory from the Sierra Madre Police Department.
“Please proceed with caution,” a portion of the alert stated.
The Police Department said officers were aware of the situation and were monitoring the animal’s activity.
Sky5 was over the scene at 10 a.m. but did not see an ongoing response from authorities.
Unable to find any sign of the big cat, Sky5 left the area after about 30 minutes.
