Four members of an organized burglary crew responsible for thefts across Los Angeles and the San Fernando Valley were arrested late last month, authorities announced this week.
Detectives with the Los Angeles Police Department tracked the four males, including one who is a juvenile, and moved to arrest the crew on Feb. 29 as they were preparing to commit additional burglaries, authorities said in a department news release.
At around 1:30 p.m. in Pacific Palisades, authorities arrested three of the suspects while they were still inside their vehicle near the intersection of Castellammare Drive and Sunset Boulevard.
The 17-year-old suspect attempted to flee on foot, discarding his cellphone and changing his clothes as police chased him. He was later detained.
Inside the vehicle, detectives found burglary tools and other potential evidence related to the theft crew’s illegal activities.
The suspects were identified as:
- 20-year-old Patricio Lian, charged with felony burglary and felony parole violation
- 20-year-old Carlos Antonio Gonzalez-Ravest, charged with outstanding felony warrants for burglary and grand theft, as well a conspiracy to commit burglary charge
- 19-year-old Joaquin Elias Munoz, charged conspiracy to commit burglary
- 17-year-old juvenile, charged with conspiracy to commit burglary
