Arrests at the second weekend of the Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival rose from last year, according to reports.

As reported by KESQ, the Indio Police Department said there were 40% more arrests during the second weekend this year than last. Between Friday and Sunday, there were 112 total arrests made at the festival versus 80 in 2023.

Of those arrests, 41 were for possession of drugs for sales and another 26 were for presenting false identification. There were 26 public intoxication arrests and six citations for property crimes, the department claimed.

The other 15 arrests weren’t specified.

According to the report, there were no arrests made for serious or violent crimes.
