Residents in Ventura County were awakened by a 3.1 magnitude earthquake that struck the region overnight.
The temblor hit just after 1:30 a.m. Tuesday at a depth of 11 miles, according to the U.S. Geological Survey.
The epicenter was reported about 10 miles south of Camarillo and about 12 miles southwest of Thousand Oaks.
Shaking was widely felt with residents reporting light shaking as far as Goleta to the northwest, Canyon Country to the northeast and Long Beach to the southeast.
There were no immediate reports of injury or damage.
