Taco Bell is giving its rewards members the chance to sit back, relax and enjoy an early retirement.
On Tuesday, the chain unveiled The Cantinas, an innovative early retirement community where guests can embrace a laid-back lifestyle.
“There’s a common misconception that retirement unlocks the life you’ve been waiting for. And while that may be true for some, we don’t think you should have to wait until 55 to live the life you’re craving,” Taylor Montgomery, U.S. chief marketing officer of Taco Bell, said in a statement.
“The Cantinas early retirement community, just like our brand, represents a place where all generations can come together, regardless of age, to Live their Más however they want.”
The limited-time experience, which runs from Aug. 17-18, is more for Gen Z, those 21 or older, than actual retirees. Though a specific address wasn’t given, Taco Bell shared that the experience will be in San Diego, about 30 minutes from the San Diego Airport.
The Irvine-based chain will sell day passes for $50 and weekend memberships for $150 to reward members for the experience on July 16 beginning at noon.
The day passes include full access for the ticket holder and a guest to the grounds, recreation, dining and more. The weekend membership includes everything from the day pass plus overnight accommodations.
Taco Bell announced that more details about the experience will be released soon.
The chain had a similar experience in 2019, when it opened a hotel in Palm Springs.
