Long before Dave Bautista starred in movies like “Guardians of the Galaxy” and “Knock at the Cabin” he was laying the smackdown on his opponents within the WWE.

While his wrestling days are behind him, he still finds ways to pay homage to his in-ring persona Batista in his films.

In a recent interview with Comicbook.com to promote “My Spy: The Eternal City,” he revealed that he tries to sneak some of his WWE moves into his movies especially his finishing move The Batista Bomb.

“I just wanted to put it in. We were working on that fight scene and I was like, ‘Oh man this would be fun.’ And now, it’s kind of become my obsession,” he revealed. “I’m trying to squeeze it into every film just because. I don’t know. You know, it’s one of those Easter eggs. I think if I can get it into every film, I will. It’s just a nod to my career. A nod to the fans.”

Bautista began his career with the WWE in 2000 and later became WWE Champion and World Heavyweight champion. He left the WWE in 2010 and then returned in 2014. In 2019, he officially retired from the ring.

Meanwhile, in Hollywood, he’s starred in hit movies like “Bladerunner 2049,” “Glass Onion: A Knives Out Mystery,” the “Dune” franchise and more.
