The 25-year-old woman told police she was jogging Thursday at about 7:15 p.m. near the intersection of Hidden Springs Drive and Mountain View Road, when she noticed she was being followed by a man in a truck, the Moreno Valley Police Department said in a news release.

A short time later the woman saw the truck parked  and as she passed by, the driver popped out of some nearby bushes and confronted the victim, police said. The man allegedly tried to carry the victim towards his truck, but police said she was able to get away from him.

The woman called 911, but the suspect fled in his truck.

The suspect was described as Hispanic, between 38-45 years-old, standing 5 feet 2 inches tall, weighing about 140 pounds, with short, dark colored hair and facial stubble. He was wearing a blue shirt and black pants.

The suspect’s vehicle was described as a two-tone, green over tan, mid 1990s Ford F-150 regular cab truck. Surveillance video shows the truck carrying a large piece of furniture strapped down into the bed.

Anyone with information about this incident, or who may recognize the truck, is asked to call the Moreno Valley Police Department Watch Commander at 951-486-6700, or after hours at 951-776-1099. Anonymous tips can be submitted by clicking here for CrimeTips online.
