A KCBS/KCAL image released by the L.A. County Sheriff’s Department shows a woman sought in an assault at the West Hollywood Dash store on Sept. 21, 2017.

The woman entered the store in the 8400 block of Melrose Avenue around 11:19 a.m. and pointed the gun at an employee while mumbling incoherently, Watch Sgt. Diana said.

She reportedly said “stay away from Cuba,” the Department stated in a news release.

Detectives were on the search for her until she was found and arrested later in the day. By about 10 p.m., Lt. Daren Diviak of the L.A. County Sheriff’s Department confirmed she was taken into custody.

During the incident earlier in the day, the woman then allegedly knocked merchandise off a counter and pointed the handgun at another employee before fleeing the store, according to the Department.

She returned nearly two hours later and began shouting again before wedging a 14-inch machete into the front door of the store and leaving, authorities said.

She was last seen walking west on Melrose Avenue toward La Cienega Boulevard.

The woman was described by authorities as a 5-foot, 10 inch white woman with short blonde hair who weighs around 170 pounds.

There were no injuries reported.

“From what I’ve been told they’re fine. Understandably shaken, but no one was physically harmed at all,” Lt. William Nash said about the affected employees.

The Kardashian family faced criticism last year after taking a trip to Havana, Cuba while filming their reality tv show Keeping Up With The Kardashians.

Anybody with information about the woman is asked to callI Detective Luevano at 310-358-4055.
