MOUNT PLEASANT, Texas (KTLA) — An actress, who appeared on TV shows including “The Walking Dead” and “The Vampire Diaries,” was indicted Friday for allegedly sending ricin-tainted letters to President Barack Obama and New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg.

Shannon Richardson, 35, also known as Shannon Rogers and Shannon Guess, was charged with three counts including making “threats against the President of the United States.”

The mother of three allegedly mailed a third toxic letter to Mark Glaze, director of Mayors Against Illegal Guns, which was founded and co-chaired by Bloomberg.

Richardson initially told authorities that her husband, army veteran Nathan Richardson, was behind the letters, according to an FBI arrest affidavit.

But court documents allege Richardson sent the letters herself to get back at her husband.

If convicted, Richardson faced up to 10 years in prison, prosecutors said.
