Chris Wolfe

Chris Wolfe arrived at KTLA in 2006 and continues to report on all shifts, covering news anytime between 4:30 a.m. to 11 p.m. Chris started watching newsmagazines such as “60 Minutes” and “20/20” at a very young age, and became hooked on TV news.

Before KTLA, his career path has taken him to Myrtle Beach, S.C., Fort Myers, Fla., and Atlanta. Chris has worked as a travel correspondent, weather anchor, news anchor, news writer and reporter at several stations and TV networks, including The Weather Channel and CNN, where he covered Hurricane Katrina.

Chris, like many Southern Californians, is a transplant. He grew up in the northeastern part of the country, but spent years abroad. His father, a former financial manager for General Electric, took the family to Singapore from 1978 to 1981. Chris attended an American school on the Southeast Asian island and says the experience was one of the most rewarding in his life. The overseas job allowed the Wolfe family to travel around the world every summer during trips back to the U.S. to visit family and friends.

Chris earned a Bachelor of Science degree in broadcast journalism from Boston University and then embarked on his career. He loves Southern California and intends to stay here for years to come.
