Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson looks unrecognizable in the first look for his upcoming film “Smashing Machine.”

Johnson posted the photo to Instagram on Tuesday morning. Fans will notice he ditched the tattoos and the bald head to portray former MMA fighter Mark Kerr in the A24 film, which will mark Benny Safdie’s solo directing debut. Safdie also wrote the film.

The WWE superstar has been logging long hours in a pentagon of his own to prepare for the film as he perfects his mixed martial arts skills.

He’s been posting videos of his training to Instagram, keeping fans up to date on his progress.

On Monday he shared a photo with Kerr himself who also helped with his training.

“He’s still a f—ing machine, that can close the distance with scary speed and power,” the “Fast Five” actor wrote. “I’ll forever be grateful to the core for his invaluable knowledge he’s been gracious enough to pass onto me and especially for the brotherhood we share. Locking up with Mark, and feeling his press and power – it’s no surprise he was an NCAA, UFC & VALE TUDO Heavyweight Champion.”

The film also reunites Johnson with his “Jungle Cruise” costar Emily Blunt. She’s set to play Dawn Staples, Kerr’s wife.

Production for the film started this week. There’s no word as to when the film will be released.
