1st look at Kansas City Chiefs holiday movie

Romance is heating up in Kansas City, on the set of the newest Hallmark Christmas movie “Holiday Touchdown: A Chiefs Love Story.”

Some of the film’s cast members posted a behind-the-scenes video on Instagram, which featured some special cameos.

“Hitting the field this holiday season,” the caption read.

The video begins with the crowd cheering as the jumbotron at GEHA Field at Arrowhead Stadium reads “Happy Holidays.”

Set to Rush’s 1981 hit “Tom Sawyer,” the video features Diedrich Bader, Ed Bedley Jr., Megyn Price, Richard Riehle and Donna Kelce, donning her traditional two-team jersey, walking through the stadium’s cerise-colored halls.

The video then shows Kelce donning an apron alongside actress Christine Ebersole and another actress. Kelce won’t be playing herself; she’ll be playing the manager of a Kansas City barbecue restaurant Nroma & Nic’s.

Of course, no video at Arrowhead would be complete without a cameo from the Chiefs’ mascot KC Wolf, who is appropriately wearing a Santa suit!

Other cameos included Chiefs’ coach Andy Reid and team members Trey Smith, George Karlaftis and Clyde Edwards-Helaire.

The camera then pans to Mecole Hardman Jr., Ava and Gracie Hunt standing at a gala table with Catrick Mahomes, whose real name is Sly James the Cat. The seven-year-old Bengal-Tabby mix gained fame after its owner started dressing him up like the Super Bowl winning quarterback.

The rest of the video shows appearances by drummer, radio personality and Chiefs fan Richard Christy, as well as Jenna Bush Hager, Hunter King and Tyler Hynes.

King and Tynes are the main characters in the holiday flick.

“Holiday Touchdown: A Chiefs Love Story” is set to premiere during Hallmark’s countdown to Christmas later this year.
