On this Juneteenth, Kendrick Lamar is set to hit the stage of The Kia Forum for his show, The Pop Out Ken & Friends.
Late Tuesday night, fans learned just who some of those friends are.
Real 92.3 FM’s DJ Hed revealed he will perform Wednesday afternoon at the Inglewood, California venue in a post to Instagram.
“I’ve heard a lot of ppl in the industry say our music sounds “TOO WEST COAST.” Man I have terrible news for you! #WestCoast,” he wrote in the caption alongside a photo of three license plates announcing some of the guests.
The Carson, California native will perform his set at 4:00 p.m. and 4:45 p.m. “Mustard & Friends” will then perform.
Mustard, formerly DJ Mustard, is a record producer and DJ from Los Angeles. He often works with California-based artists like rapper YG and Ty Dolla $ign. He recently produced Lamar’s diss track and hit song “Not Like Us,” which was directed at rapper Drake.
The show comes over a month after Lamar’s rap beef with the “Hotline Bling” rapper, where the two were involved in a back-and-forth of diss records.
About an hour later, at 5:45 p.m., Lamar will perform with his “friends.” However, it’s still not known who he’ll bring to the stage. The Compton native has kept many details about the show close to his vest.
While the event appears to be sold out, tickets are available on numerous resale websites. At last check, the lowest ticket price is around $315.
Fans attending the show can enjoy the outdoor Terrace starting at 1:30 p.m. Doors open at 3:00 p.m.
The concert will be live-streamed via Prime Video starting at 4:00 p.m. It will also be available on Amazon Music’s Twitch stream.
Real 92.3’s The Cruz Show will also be broadcasting from The Forum from 2:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m.
