Drake’s Toronto mansion floods: ‘This better be espresso martini’

Torrential rainfall in Toronto, Canada caused widespread flooding and power outages. Among those affected was rapper Drake.

In a video posted to his Instagram stories on Tuesday evening, the “God’s Plan” rapper showed major flooding at his mansion in the city’s Bridle Path neighborhood.

Holding a broom, the video showed the artist walking through ankle-deep water in his closet as flood waters rushed in. A person in the background is seen attempting to close a closet door.

“This better be espresso martini,” Drake joked in the video’s caption.

The rapper has had a rough go these past couple of months.

This past spring, he was embroiled in a highly publicized rap feud with Compton native Kendrick Lamar. After trading numerous diss tracks with each other, fans deemed Lamar victorious with his hit “Not Like Us.”

Following the feud, a gunman opened fire and wounded Drake’s security guard outside of the same mansion that had flooded. Police did not specify if the shooting had anything to do with the beef between the two men.
