An arrest has been made in connection with the shooting death of Migos rapper Takeoff, Houston police announced on Friday.

In a media briefing, police said they arrested 33-year-old Patrick Xavier Clark and he is being charged with the murder of the 28-year-old artist.

Police say Clark was taken into custody “peacefully” on Thursday night. His arrest came one day after another man was charged in connection with the shooting that wounded two other people.

Clark was being held in jail Friday awaiting a bond hearing. Court records do not list an attorney who could speak for him.

On Wednesday, authorities announced the arrest of Cameron Joshua in connection to the shooting. Joshua was charged with illegally having a gun at the time Takeoff was shot, but prosecutors said the 22-year-old is not believed to have fired the weapon. Christopher Downey, Joshua’s attorney, told reporters that he has not seen anything to suggest that his client was involved in Takeoff’s killing.

Police Sgt. Michael Burrow said that investigators believe it was Clark’s gunfire that killed the “Only Built for Infinity Links” rapper.

“We lost a good man,” Houston Police Department Chief Troy Finner said, adding that he talked to Takeoff’s family, and thanked them for their patience as the department worked through facts and the investigation ahead of an arrest.

Takeoff, whose real name was Kirshnik Khari Ball, was fatally shot outside a bowling alley near Houston in the early morning hours of Nov. 1. Police called the rapper an “innocent bystander” in the incident.

He was a member of the Atlanta hip-hop group Migos.

The group was best known for its hits like “Fight Night,” “Versace” and “Walk It, Talk It.”
