Steve-O, a reality star best known for performing offbeat stunts as part of the “Jackass” franchise, was arrested Sunday night after climbing to the top of a crane at a construction site in Hollywood, authorities said.

Firefighters initially responded about 8 p.m. to a report of a possible suicide attempt in progress in the 6000 block of West Selma Avenue, the Los Angeles Fire Department said on Twitter.
LAFD personnel deployed an “air rescue cushion” at the base of the crane, which towered high above. Meanwhile, the 41-year-old celebrity was posting photos and videos of himself from the lofty perch.
“It’s stunt time,” Steve-O, whose real name is Stephen Glover, wrote in one post.
At one point during the episode, a witness’ photo appeared to show fireworks ignited from atop the crane.
Steve-O later climbed down from the structure and was taken into custody, according to the Los Angeles Police Department.
He was expected to be booked on suspicion of trespassing, setting a firework without a permit, and conspiracy to commit a crime, said police Lt. Michael Ling.
