‘X-Men ’97’ stars explain why the series is a hit with queer audiences

The X-Men are back and better than ever on Disney+.

The sequel “X-Men ’97” picks up where the hit ’90s animated series left off, with some returning stars voicing their characters and a new batch of voice actors as well.

Actors Lenore Zann and JP Karliak stopped by KTLA 5 to explain why the series is such a hit with LGBTQ+ fans who can identify as being outcasts and having to fight for their rights to be considered equal.

This interview aired during KTLA’s WEHO Pride Parade Special on June 2, 2024.
