The Habit Burger Grill’s Double Charburger was recently named the best fast-food burger, according to a fast-food poll conducted by USA Today. In honor of the award, the chain is giving its loyalty members a chance to try the award-winning menu item.

Members of the chain’s rewards program can receive a free Double Charburger with a minimum purchase of $5. The offer will be automatically loaded into existing rewards members’ accounts between July 19 and 30.

New members have until Sept. 18 to register and get the deal, a news release said.

“We’ve always known our Double Char was special, like that overachieving child you’ve always secretly loved more. But now, America has spoken, and they agree. It’s like winning the burger lottery, except everyone gets to cash in,” Jack Hinchliffe, Habit’s chief marketing officer, said in a statement.

The Double Char burger includes two chargrilled beef patties, caramelized onions, fresh lettuce, tomato, pickles and mayo on a toasted bun. Customers can also add cheese.

The chain’s tempura green beans, chicken club and roasted garlic cauliflower also won top prizes in the best side dish, chicken sandwich and healthful innovations categories, respectively.

The Habit Burger Grill, known for its charburgers and Californian-inspired flavors, opened its first location in Santa Barbara in 1969. Since then, the chain has grown to 380 restaurants across 14 states and international locations.
