The art community describes this as “the world’s first art amusement park.” It’s Luna Luna: Forgotten Fantasy, built in Hamburg, Germany in 1987 featuring celebrated artists Keith Haring, Jean-Michel Basquiat, David Hockey, Roy Lichenstein and more. It lost its funding and disappeared. Well, it’s back and we can experience this amazing and unusual art and amusement park creation inside two huge Los Angeles warehouses. Los Angeles philanthropist and entrepreneur Bernard Kinsey is talking about THE KINSEY AFRICAN AMERICAN ART AND HISTORY COLLECTION, an outstanding exhibition at SoFi Stadium in Inglewood.
The inspired work of Bernard and Shirley Kinsey, and their son Khalil, is considered one of the largest and most comprehensive of its kind. Curated by Khalil Kinsey and historian Larry Earl, the exhibition focuses on the lives, and accomplishments from the 16th century through the years of slavery and emancipation to the civil rights movement and modern-day.

If you are wondering what in the world is going on here, we have California Science Center’s Senior Vice President for Exhibits Diane Perlov demonstrating the paddleboat designed by Renaissance master, artist and inventor Leonard da Vinci. This is one of his many machines and devices produced from a lifetime of 16th century sketches and designs by the Leonardo 3 Museum in Milan. Another special Leonardo da Vinci creation is this mechanical lion.
