AUTOTRADER’S list of BEST NEW CARS OF 2024. Executive Editor Brian Moody of Autotrader says his editorial team scrutinized the new cars available for sale as 2024 models and picked the 11 best for consideration. This year’s list includes two electric vehicles (EVs), three hybrid gasoline-electric vehicles (HEVs), and six traditional gasoline internal combustion engine (ICE) models.
Autotrader focused on 2024 model-year vehicles available for purchase within the next nine months. The cars on the list offer significant value or are groundbreaking in some other way.
To qualify for the list, the base model of a vehicle had to start below $110,000, with factory-to-dealer destination charges included. Most cars on this list are thousands of dollars below that.

Meet artist Ann Weber, whose work is on display at the Catalina Museum for Art and History. The exhibit entitled ANN WEBER: 26 MILES, features repurposed cardboard she uses to create monumental sculptures, giving a second life to the material.
Meet artist Ann Weber Saturday, July 27, 2024, at 7:30 p.m. for an Artist Talk in the museum’s Ackerman Family Amphitheater.
During a one-hour slideshow presentation, Weber will show the trials and joys of her 50-year career making art. Titled ”The Life and Loves of Ann Weber,” she will discuss how she got started as a potter living in a yurt in upstate New York to living in Los Angeles (San Pedro to be exact), and all of the adventures in between.
Doors open at 7:30 pm to view the exhibition ANN WEBER: 26 MILES and get a beverage from the no-host bar. The presentation begins at 8:15 pm in the Ackerman Family Amphitheater. Then there will be a question-and-answer session with Weber at 9:15 p.m. The event ends at 9:30 p.m.
