The Napa County Sheriff’s Office released this booking photo of Ian Benjamin Rogers on Jan. 17, 2021.

Ian Benjamin Rogers was arrested Friday after deputies searched his home and business in Napa, north of San Francisco, the Santa Rosa Press Democrat reported. He could face multiple felony and misdemeanor charges related to allegedly possessing illegal weapons.

It wasn’t known Sunday if Rogers has an attorney.

The Napa County Sheriff’s Office couldn’t immediately say whether Rogers had plans to use the weapons, as the investigation is in its early stages, agency spokesman Henry Wofford told the newspaper.

Investigators secured search warrants after receiving an anonymous tip that Rogers possessed illegal guns, Wofford said. They searched both his Napa home and his business, British Auto Repair of the Napa Valley, the newspaper said.

Between Rogers’ home and business, investigators found five pipe bombs, several pounds of gunpowder, more than 15,000 rounds of ammunition and approximately 8 to 10 illegal guns, out of a stash that numbered more than 50, Wofford said.
