The next massive Powerball drawing is tonight. Here's how much you could win

In the latest attempt to make somebody America’s latest billionaire, the next Powerball drawing will take place on Saturday night.

The oh-so-elusive jackpot? It’s coming in at about $1.3 billion.

That number has been growing since a winner claimed a jackpot on Jan. 1. Saturday’s Powerball drawing will be for the biggest lottery pool of money of 2024 so far.

Of course, it’s not all about the biggest prize, which requires jackpot winners to have all five numbers on their ticket — plus the Powerball number. Other cash prizes are available for those matching at least some of the figures.

In the most recent drawing, which took place Wednesday night, two Southern California players won $1.6 million prizes. Those tickets were purchased in Oxnard and San Dimas.

Saturday’s drawing will take place at 7:59 p.m.
