A small earthquake was reported in Orange County Wednesday afternoon, the latest minor quake to be felt in Southern California over the past four days.
The preliminary 2.6-magnitude earthquake happened around 1:46 p.m., about 2 miles east of Newport Beach at a depth of about 7.7 miles, according to the United States Geological Survey.
According to the USGS “Felt Report,” 41 people in the area confirmed feeling a jolt in their area as of 2 p.m.
There have been no reports of injuries or damage so far.
