An earthquake with a preliminary magnitude of 3.8 struck near Yucca Valley shortly before 9 p.m. Thursday, according to the U.S. Geological Survey.
The quake was centered about 13 miles north of Yucca Valley, which is in San Bernardino County and about 120 miles west of Los Angeles.
It had a depth of about five miles, according to USGS.
The earthquake was followed by a magnitude-2.2 temblor, USGS reported.
No injuries or damages were reported.
