A person is dead and another is hospitalized after a motorcycle and a bus collided in Valley Glen Friday morning.

The crash was reported at about 11 a.m. near the intersection of Hazeltine Avenue and Bessemer Street, according to the Los Angeles Fire Department.

A motorcycle carrying two people and a bus crashed into each other, resulting in one death and one transport to a hospital, the Los Angeles Police Department said. That person’s condition is unknown.

The age, gender and names of those involved have not been released.

As a result, the Metro Orange Line at Hazeltine is closed “until further notice,” police said.

The LAPD later advised that as of 12:19 p.m., the closure was expected to last a further “several hours.”

“We will advise when open,” police said.
