A man and woman from Adelanto face child abuse charges after the man allegedly sexually abused two minors.
Carlos Omar Moreno, 37, and Maria Del Carmen Esquivel, 43, were arrested Tuesday, the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Office said in a news release.
Moreno faces charges of lewd and lascivious acts with a child under 14 and sexual penetration with a foreign object. Esquivel, meanwhile, faces an allegation of child abuse.
Moreno is being held at the High Desert Detention Center in lieu of $300,000 bail. Esquivel is being held at the West Valley Detention Center in lieu of $145,000.
Both are due to appear in Victorville Superior Court on Monday.
