A crash on PCH in Malibu on Tuesday night injured three pedestrians and forced the closure of the highway in both directions, according to the California Highway Patrol.

The collision was reported just after 8 p.m. in the 20300 block of Pacific Coast highway between Big Rock Drive and Las Flores.

Three pedestrians were injured in the crash, in which a vehicle struck a fire hydrant and several parked cars, according to Deputy Robone with the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department.

One pedestrian was airlifted to a hospital. All of the injuries were said to be non-life threatening, Robone said.

Just after 9:30 p.m., the west bound lanes of PCH were reopened. Deputies were directing east bound and west bound traffic into the two open west bound lanes.
