Six people were taken to a hospital Sunday night after a crash involving two vehicles in downtown Los Angeles, officials said.
Two of the patients were critically injured in the collision, which happened about 9:08 p.m. in the 1400 block of East Sixth Street (map), according to Erik Scott, spokesman for the Los Angeles Fire Department.
At least one person was initially trapped as a result of the incident, which left the two vehicles “significantly damaged,” Scott said on Twitter.
The L.A. Department of Transportation closed the Sixth Street bridge after the crash. It remained closed as of 11 p.m., and it was unclear when it would reopen.
