6-Week-Old Found Dead in Highland; Investigation Underway

An investigation was underway after a 6-week-old baby boy was found dead at a Highland residence Saturday morning, according to a San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department news release.

Sheriff’s deputies responded to reports that a baby was not breathing at a residence in the 26800 block of 9th Street (map) around 9:03 a.m.

Medical personnel later pronounced the infant had died.

An autopsy was pending and an investigation was underway.
