Activists Protest San Diego-Area Nuclear Waste Storage Facility in Huntington Beach

In Huntington Beach on Saturday, surfers and other activists protested Southern California Edison plans to store its nuclear waste in the water beneath San Onofre State Beach, which they say would devastate the entire Southern California coast in the event of an earthquake or tsunami.
