A large but peaceful protest was held outside Los Angeles Police Department headquarters on Sunday afternoon over the recent fatal shooting of Ezell Ford.

Ford, 25, was shot in the Florence neighborhood of South Los Angeles on Monday evening.

Protesters who attended Sunday’s demonstration were demanding a full investigation into the deadly shooting.

Family members and police have given different accounts as the events that transpired that night.

Ford’s family said he was cooperating with police when he was shot, while LAPD said he ignored instruction and attempted to grab an officer’s gun during a violent struggle.
