Actor John Stamos was arrested for suspicion of DUI on Friday night in Beverly Hills, authorities said.
Officers responding to several reports of a possible drunk driver in the area of Canon Drive and South Santa Monica Boulevard around 7:45 p.m. stopped a vehicle that was being driven by the actor, according to a news release from the Beverly Hills Police Department.
It was later determined that Stamos was driving under the influence, and he was placed under arrest, according to the release.
“Stamos was issued a citation for driving under the influence and released to the care of the hospital,” according to police.
On Saturday morning, Stamos tweeted that he had been released from Cedars-Sinai Medical Center.
Stamos was due to appear in court on Sept. 11.
