Music legends and newcomers alike have entertained audiences at the popular venue since 1994.

“It’s like a who’s who of music. Everyone from Aerosmith to John Foggerty, Rhianna, John Legend, Elton John,” David Fortin with House of Blues Entertainment said.

In front of the building, a sign welcomed the evening’s guests and hinted at plans to relocate.

“Rocked 21 years on the Sunset Strip. Thank you L.A. See you soon,” the sign read.

Officials did not say where any new location might be, but the current site was expected to be demolished and replaced by a retail complex.

“When the lights go down it will be sad, but I can’t help thinking how amazing it’s been,” David Solomon said.

At one point during Monday’s final show, metal tribute band Steel Panther was joined by Miley and Billy Ray Cyrus for a cover of Def Leppard’s “Pour Some Sugar on Me.”
