A driver led authorities on a pursuit through multiple Orange County cities Saturday evening before being taken into custody.

Sky5 was overhead when the fleeing driver of a white vehicle suddenly pulled over on the side of the westbound 91 Freeway, near the Carmenita exit. The driver came out with their arms raised before being approached by five officers and getting escorted into a police cruiser at 11:26 p.m.

Around 11 p.m., aerial footage shows several law enforcement vehicles following the car in Costa Mesa before the chase continued in Santa Ana minutes later.

For several minutes, the white vehicle drove along northbound Bristol Avenue in Santa Ana, where several cross streets appeared blocked off by authorities.

Later, at 11:20 p.m., law enforcement vehicles with flashing emergency lights were chasing the vehicle along the westbound 91 Freeway in Anaheim. Within minutes, the pursuit continued through other cities including Buena Park as the fleeing driver kept traveling along the freeway.

Just before reaching the 605 Freeway, authorities managed to pull the driver over near the Carmenita exit on the 91 Freeway.

Authorities did not provide information on why they tried to contact the motorist.
