The body of an elderly man was found Wednesday by search teams looking for a missing 82-year-old who vanished from his Laguna Woods home Saturday.
The discovery was made around 4:30 p.m. in an area of vegetation near a golf course adjacent to the El Toro Water District Treatment Center in the 23000 block of Moulton Parkway, according to a news release from the Orange County Sheriff’s Department.
Sa K. Lee, who suffered from Alzheimer’s and dementia, was last seen around 10 p.m. Saturday at the home he shared with his wife.
Based on a preliminary death investigation, the body was believed to be that of Lee but official identification was pending, the release stated.
There did not appear to be any evidence of foul play or suspicious circumstances involved in his death, according to the release.
Anyone with information or who believed they may have seen Lee during the past several days was asked to call Sheriff’s Department investigators at 714-647-7055 or dispatch at 714-647-7000.
