Boxing star Ryan Garcia was arrested at a Beverly Hills hotel Saturday for alleged felony vandalism.

Garcia, 25, was at the Waldorf Astoria where he allegedly caused an estimated $15,000 in damages, according to TMZ.

Beverly Hills police arrived at the hotel around 5:45 p.m. after the boxer reportedly damaged property at the hotel, including in his room and a hallway.

Once officers arrived, the hotel decided to press charges. It’s unclear what led up to the violent situation, but he may have been under the influence of alcohol and/or drugs, TMZ reports.

Photos obtained by witnesses showed Garcia being led to a patrol car while shirtless and wearing a black motorcycle helmet.

Garcia was taken into custody by police and booked on suspicion of felony vandalism. He was later released Saturday night.

He currently faces suspension from the New York Athletic Commission after he tested positive for the banned substance Ostarine before his upset victory over Devin Haney in April.

ESPN reported that Garcia tested positive for the performance-enhancing substance Ostarine the day before and the day of the April 20 fight, citing a Voluntary Anti-Doping Association letter.

Ostarine is a selective androgen receptor modulator and its use can stimulate muscle growth. It is banned by the World Anti-Doping Agency.

Garcia emphatically denied that he broke the rules in a video posted on X.

“I’ve never taken a steroid in my life,” Garcia said. “I don’t even know where to get steroids. At the end of the day, I barely take supplements.”

Garcia’s victory could be overturned if the positive drug test is confirmed.

No further details on the Beverly Hills incident were released.
