A dramatic rescue was captured on video as two people were pulled from the water after their boat overturned near Point Hueneme Sunday morning.
Coast Guard officials received a call for help regarding the boaters, who were spotted in the water near their overturned vessel at about 7 a.m.
A rescue helicopter was sent and crews were able to find the partially submerged vessel and the two boaters, who were not wearing life jackets, according to a U.S. Coast Guard news release.
A camera inside the helicopter was rolling as each of the boaters were safely lifted out of the water.
Both boaters were showing signs of hypothermia and were taken to Point Mugu Air Field before being transported to a local hospital, according to the news release.
A tweet from the National Weather Service stated that gusty Santa Ana winds were believed to have been a factor in vessel overturning.
