The 29th Annual Rodeo Drive Concours d’Elegance is a perfect time to celebrate father figures in style.
The free car show offers a close-up display of supercars and classic cars in addition to vehicles from the upcoming Netflix film “Beverly Hills Cop: Axel F.”
According to event chair Bruce Meyer, the festivities were started with the idea of restoring Beverly Hills’ first-ever fire truck and has since grown into the elaborate car show that it is today.
“We wanted to raise money for [the campaign to restore the fire truck],” Meyer told KTLA 5’s Jasmine Simpkins from his vintage Bugatti that was found in a barn in France and restored. “We are raising money for charity…today we will cut a nice check to the police department and the fire department.”
Dads need “no excuses” to venture out to Rodeo Drive for the festivities, Meyer added, which will include over 100 “real special” cars on display.
The car show began at 10 a.m. on Rodeo Drive between Wilshire and Santa Monica boulevards in Beverly Hills and is scheduled to end at 4 p.m.
