The California Highway Patrol was involved in a hour-long pursuit Friday evening of a van traveling at a high rate of speed on freeways and surface streets in the San Fernando Valley.
The chase began just after 4:30 p.m. in Chino, according to the Lt. Covington with the Chino Police Department.
Police had received a call from a Kohls Department store on Grand Avenue regarding a possible forgery, Covington said.
By the time officers arrived, the alleged suspect was fleeing and a pursuit was initiated, according to police.
The driver made his way across several freeways and neighborhoods in the San Fernando Valley for over an hour before finally surrendering in Sherman Oaks, aerial video from Sky5 showed.
