City Council approves RV parking bans on Westside

Overnight RV parking has been banned in some Westside areas.

The Los Angeles City Council voted 9-2 on Wednesday to prohibit oversized vehicles from parking on the following streets between 2 and 6 a.m., as reported by LAist.

Cypress Grove

Marina Peninsula

Playa Del Rey

Playa Vista

West Los Angeles

Councilmember Traci Park, in whose district the ban is being implemented, supported the measure.

“Councilmembers Eunisses Hernandez and Hugo Soto-Martinez voted against it, and Councilmembers Bob Blumenfield, Marqueece Harris-Dawson, John Lee, and Katy Yaroslavsky were absent,” LAist said.

Now that the restrictions have been approved, the Los Angeles Department of Transportation can erect “tow away” signs in the area.
