Personnel from the Costa Mesa Police Department were able to free a dog from a bathtub after its paw got stuck in the drain on Tuesday, fire officials said.
A crew was called out to a Costa Mesa residence in the early afternoon and discovered the trapped dog, according to a tweet from the Fire Department.
Forty minutes later, the three-member crew successfully freed the small white dog after carefully breaking apart the tub’s drain, officials said.
The dog was not injured.
“Sometimes it can be a ruff job,” the Fire Department wrote in a tongue-in-cheek post on its Facebook page.
